1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MaxMyRefund ("the Service"), operated by MaxMyRefund Canada Inc., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

MaxMyRefund is a tax return analysis tool for Canadian taxpayers. Our system uses artificial intelligence to analyze your uploaded tax return (PDF) and identify potential missed deductions, credits, and optimization opportunities. MaxMyRefund does not file tax returns, provide certified tax advice, or act as your tax representative.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
  • You must not upload documents belonging to others without their authorization.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

4. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

5. AI & Data Policy

MaxMyRefund uses artificial intelligence to process and analyze your tax return. Your data is used solely to generate your personalized report and is never used to train AI models. We do not share, sell, or use your tax data for any purpose beyond delivering the Service.

  • Ghost Mode: Your data is deleted immediately after analysis. Nothing is retained.
  • Temporary Storage: Your data is retained for 30 days to allow follow-up questions with our tax agent, then permanently deleted.
  • Social Insurance Numbers are automatically filtered and never stored.
  • All processing occurs on Canadian servers.

6. Payment Terms

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. Please review our Refund Policy for details on eligibility and how to request a refund. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

MaxMyRefund provides informational analysis only and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of its findings. The Service is not a substitute for professional tax advice. MaxMyRefund Canada Inc. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MaxMyRefund Canada Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
