Refund Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Our Guarantee
MaxMyRefund charges a fee only when our analysis identifies opportunities to improve your tax refund. If you follow the report and find that the recommended deductions or credits are not applicable to your situation, we will refund your payment in full — minus a $5 processing fee to cover Stripe's non-recoverable payment processing costs.
Eligibility
To qualify for a refund, all of the following must apply:
- You must request your refund within 30 days of your purchase date.
- You must provide your filed T1 return (the version you submitted to the CRA after our report) showing that you were unable to claim the optimizations we identified.
- The inability to claim must be due to your personal tax situation, not a choice to skip the steps involved.
What Is Not Covered
- Refunds requested after 30 days of purchase.
- Cases where the recommended optimizations were available but not pursued.
- Dissatisfaction with the size of the identified savings (savings estimates are projections based on the information provided and may vary when filed).
- Purchases of check credits, bundles, or upload overage fees.
How to Request a Refund
Email us at support@maxmyrefund.ca with:
- Your account email address.
- The date of your purchase.
- A brief description of which recommendations were not applicable and why.
- A copy of your filed T1 return (you may redact your SIN and personal address).
We will review your request and respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, minus the $5 processing fee.
